Matapouri beach  |
Heya ! Over the weekend my friends and I went on an adventure to Matapouri where the magical Mermaid pools are. I know right, WOOHOOO! Gonna see some MERMAIDS....HA....HA.... NAH ... if only
 ..
From Auckland ----> Matapouri it took about 2 hours and 50 minutes to drive, almost 3 hours (Depending on the traffic that day really).

This is the Matapouri beach, it's such an amazing beach, there are two main attractions that people visit at this place, which are the Mermaid pools and Whale bay. I would recommend going for a weekend or something like that, around 2-3 days just so you guys get enough time to enjoy what this place has to offer  ☀☀☀

Mermaid pool - Matapouri 
This is the beginning of our hike.. the boys said they've just watched The Revenant and this is how people carried bags back in the days apparently... ... lol
-There are lots of up and down hills that made all of us sweat like crazy especially on such a sunny day. CARDIO DONE FOR THE DAY YAY( No gym needed - what a great way to work out right!!) hahahahahahahahhahaha nah but in all seriousness.. as soon as we arrived we thought the walk was defiantly worth it.

Mermaid pools can only be accessed during low tide
Remember to slip, slop, slap and wrap hahahahaha otherwise you will burn
- Excuse my messy hair.. I just went for a swim 
People come and go quite quickly around Mermaid pools just because after a while dipping in and out you get cold quite fast even on a hot sunny day so don't worry about if there are too many people and there's no place to swim.
This is my other half - isn't he shoooo cute HAHAHAHA - He will kill me when he reads this let's hope he doesn't read it

Had such a great time at the Mermaid pools that we didn't want to leave ! For anyone who absolutely loves sunshine & adventures either if you're just visiting or if you live in New Zealand, this is definitely one of the places you should visit
