The Animal Cafe

I have a soft spot for animals.... I just loooooooveeeeee them.
Because Animal is love, Animal is life. Hahaha. Today we went to a cafe called "The Animal Cafe Restaurant" Located in Yannawa,
Address : Le raffles Sathupradit 19 or Naratiwas 24 Bangkok, Thailand.
Phone Number : +0969900207.
Opening Hours : Monday ~ Sunday : 11am ~ 10pm.
Facebook Page : FB Link for Animal cafe - you can always go look at the pictures they took before you decide if you want to go or not, but because I have a soft spot for these fluffy babies I didn't really have to think about it..  hoho (Ive never been to a Animal cafe before).

Overall : 3/5
It was not hard to find, you can take the BTS to Chong Nonsi station then take a taxi.
BTS + Taxi Fare was about 130 Baht for two people from where I came from.
This is what the outside of the cafe looks like - there is a big sign, so its not hard for their customers to locate.
When you first go in you will see two staff by the counter - we didn't really get told what was happening but to go upstairs.
Most of the Animals are kept upstairs except for the two owls.

This is their first floor
Just before going in to see all the animals !!
As soon as you enter they ask you to change shoes,
Take your shoes off and there are heaps of Jandals with different sizes to put on.
The confusing thing about this cafe was that the staff doesn't really explain how the 'entry fee' worked... but I think the easiest thing to do would be to just read the explanation on the menu instead of asking them because they can't really speak English. - Basically there is a 200 baht 'entrance fee' per person, this fee can go towards purchasing food but not drinks. They will ask you to pay the entry fee first after ordering food then paying the balance before you leave. (They will deduct the 200 from the meal you have ordered).
Full menu + Instructions
(Im going to put my Pictures in squares because I took way too many photos..)
I ordered the Chicken Pasta + Cappuccino - My chicken pasta was really tasty but the portion is quite small ... haha and also is a little spicy, I have to say tho the coffee was pretty average.. my coffee was warmish ..
Boyfriend ordered the Beef Burger + Mocha - Beef burger was alright, the beef was very hard, but the chips and fried Mushroom was yum.. also, the mocha was better than my cappuccino.. hahaha
(Yes.. I always eat my boyfriends meals as well as mine... mwahahahahahaha).
However I didn't come here for the food so I wasn't very fussed about how it tasted.. I really just wanted to play with all the animals.
The animals that are out of their cages are just cats - they are mostly just sleeping around the corners or lying on the tables haha.

I was really excited to see the Raccoons ... but the staff told us that they bite so we never got to touch them and they just stayed in their cages the whole time... Hmmmm... I was disappointed by that haha. I really wanted to pat them T_T.

This kitty had the cutest legs.. it was extremely short.. haha like me ... hahaha - you are allowed to go around and just pick them up if you like (Cats Only)
We asked the staff to assist us to get into the room - someone will take you in and sit with you for a bit then they will just leave you with them. These beautiful babies are soooooo adorable I stayed in there for quite a while... hahaha way more than 5 minutes (I think its because we were there on a Wednesday so there weren't a lot of people).

The Serval Cat + Caracal cat
In the beginning it was a little hard trying to cuddle them and take pictures- they run super fast.. I would recommend going before noon if you want to feed them. (I wanted to feed them but the people before me already fed them ... so I wasn't allowed to feed them again).
It would be good if you can spend longer in there with them - I feel like they warm up to you more and more if you stay in the room for a while.
As you can tell I took heaps of photos, hohohoho
The Fennec Fox..
(After meeting this adorable baby I have decided I'm going to get one hehehehe)
The Owls
Before we left the cafe on our way out we went downstairs where the Owls are located to pat them ... Ive never touched an owl before!!!!! (To be honest I was really scared because the owl looked a bit scary HAHAHAHAHA).
There are 2 Harry potter outfits by the door that you can out on to take pictures with .. so knowing me..... I went straight for it lmao.
They are both so cute!!! - pretty sure they wanted to sleep so we just took some pictures and left them so they can go sleep. Hahahahahahahah.
After my first experience at an animal cafe .. I would say I was pretty happy because there weren't many people, if it was on a busy day I think my experience wouldn't have been as great as the staff wasn't very helpful (didn't explain about how the cafe worked), however I did choose to go on a weekday on purpose because I did read up on some reviews before going and it seemed like during the weekends it's quite full. The disappointment for me were the raccoons T__T .. they were caged up the whole entire time and I didn't get to play with them. There's that smell of animals present - if you are really bad with smelly places then I wouldn't recommend it but if you're an animal lover you should go just for the experience. Personally I'm not sure if i would want to go back but the experience was good. We spent around 900 Baht for 2 mains and 2 drinks (Including the "entrance fee" ).
Ps. will be visiting more animal cafes... hahaha

Emporium Foodie #1

Hey Guys!

Currently in Bangkok, Thailand - getting away from New Zealand for a bit. I've been thinking about how I would go about blogging my experiences in Thailand and I thought I would just do it day by day because I'm here until Feb... might forget it all if I leave it all till I get back.

Today is Tuesday and I've been in Thailand for 2 weeks now - blogging about my experience in Thailand starts today !
Emporium
My boyfriend and I decided to take a taxi from our hotel to Emporium today. Total taxi from our place to the mall is about 85 Baht, here is the link if you are in Thailand and would like to go for a visit Emporium. To be honest all the malls here are so big it's really hard to finish walking and shopping around the mall just in a day. There are 3 different blocks for this mall and in each block there's food and different brands ranging from normal to luxury brands. I love all the malls here because Sephora is basically in all of them and I can spend soooo long just looking through Sephora.

My post today is mainly just about the 2 food places I went to (foodcourt in EmQuartier). The thing about Thailand is that there are all kinds of cuisine here and its very easy to find, so for me ... it gets really hard to decide what I want to eat.... I'm terrible at making decisions...
This is how my boyfriend feels all the time...

 - Pomme-no-ki - Overall : 3.5/5
Baked Omelet Rice with Creamy Sauce and Cheese
 Omelet with Fried Rice
I think this place is pretty nice for the price ( Food in Thailand is so much cheaper than NZ) - you can see the prices on the menu. I'm not going to lie the cheese was soooooooooo delicious hahahaha. I couldn't stop talking about it afterwards (or maybe I was just hungry .........). So if you are having a cheese craving day this will probably hit the spot. They give you 2 options - either just the a la carte option or the set option.

Right after, we thought we still have room for dessert so... why not... hahahaha. I was going around comparing all the pictures of chocolate lava to see which one looks the yummiest. Then we decided on this place - which is also in the same food court.
- Dessert Club - Overall : 3/5 (Food Only)
Chocolate Lava
Root Beer Float

Money spent on lunch today around 600 Baht
Happy Tuesday Babessss. xoxoxox

That is all for today hehe
Love Rose
PS. if you're looking for Free Wifi... They don't have it there at the food court...
